"Melbourne's DIET. have dropped a brand new banger by the name of Danny Boy, the new tune goes hard in on the Brit-pop sound, chucking in some extra smooth guitar riffs and a synth hook that'll be stuck in your head for days. It's jovial lyrics relay a passionate conversation between two siblings on an interstate phone call, adding to the feel-good vibes of this sunny stunner of a track." - themusic.com.au
Late last year DIET. released their sunshine filled single 'Take Me' and have now placed the finishing touches on a number of singles ready for release throughout 2018.
DIET. have released a handful of songs that received nationwide and global attention. The debut single, 'Your House', found itself added to various Spotify curated playlists such as Fresh New Finds (US) and Musica Do Dia (Brazil), and received a premiere on Dom Alessio's Home & Hosed Triple J program. Their follow up, 'The Rip', followed suit with nationwide community radio airplay.
In October 2016, DIET. released their debut self-titled EP independently, and played to a sold out crowds. The consequent wave of momentum brought the boys to throw another party (at a sold out rooftop gig) to promote the bookend track of the EP, titled 'VB' (an omen to the refreshing taste of Victoria Bitter). 'VB' was placed on high rotation on Triple J Unearthed Radio, and the boys did a stint in Sydney and Melbourne to celebrate.
DIET. are gearing up for a huge multi-month tour that will see them play their own headline shows and take over support duties for British India, and have previously shared stages with Alex Lahey, Slum Sociable and Big White, amongst others.
"They’re one of the tightest and most entertaining live bands you’ll find." – Tone Deaf
"What does an Australian summer sound like? The ebb of the ocean or the whine of a mozzie? Or maybe it’s infectious, sunny, jangly rock songs, tinged with nostalgia for holidays past. It’s the sound that new Melbourne band DIET. makes." - Broadsheet
