Sweater Curse Release New Single '(Hear You)'
Brisbane’s Sweater Curse are ecstatic to announce the release of their latest single ‘(Hear You)’. The track is the latest taste of their highly-anticipated debut EP ‘See You’ out March 1st.
Much like their colossal 2018, the beginning of 2019 is seeing Sweater Curse’s list of achievements grow, with their performance at Laneway Festival in Brisbane this Saturday 2nd February, set to be broadcast live by Triple J at 3pm, plus an appearance at Farmer & The Owl Festival and a national tour with The Smith Street Band yet to come.
‘(Hear You)’ follows the narrative of the band’s 2018 singles, ‘Mon’s Song’ and ‘Can’t See You Anymore’, delving into the world of tumultuous relationships and in-depth emotional exploration.
“The nicest thing about Sweater Curse for me has always been that I’ve been able to write songs like this one with very thinly veiled conflicting emotions with the perfect guitar lines and beats without any of us having to directly address the big meaning of it all,” says bassist and vocalist Monica Sottille.
“We all support each other and are there for each other and don’t ask questions until we’re feeling okay enough to confront the issues we write about together. I always think about how nice the band is as a support network and exercise in catharsis when I think about this song.”
