Download Festival is oh so close, and now we know which lucky acts have taken out the triple J Unearthed competition and will be joining the already stacked lineup.

Taking the Sydney Unearthed spot is three piece RedHook, fronted by Music Feeds‘ very own Emmy Mack (!!!). As fate would have it, RedHook also feature on the lineup for the UK edition of Download festival.

“We are so ridiculously grateful to Unearthed for the opportunity to play the first ever Sydney edition of this sacred riff fest,” Mack told Music Feeds.

“It felt a bit odd to be skipping Australia and going straight to Download UK in June, so to have the opportunity to cut our teeth on home turf first alongside some absolute lords of rock and metal means the freakin world to us. PUMPED!”

Download Festival is bringing some of the biggest heavy acts from around the world to Aussie shores, with a lineup featuring the likes of The Amity Affliction, Slayer, Rise Against and more.
