Just a few weeks after the release of their new EP, Empire, Melbourne band Windwaker have today been announced as the latest signing to the New World Artists booking agency roster.
The news comes as yet another boost for the heavy quintet who have already performed at this year's Download Festival and have received high rotation on triple j and triple j Unearthed.
Windwaker will be repped at New World Artists by Tom Johannesen & Liam Saunders, with Johannesen saying of the signing, "We are thrilled to be booking Windwaker. Such a talented band, one of the best up-and-coming heavy acts in Australia right now.”
Vocalist Will King said the group couldn't be happier to join the roster which already boasts the likes of Northlane, Mallrat and Hands Like Houses.
“Having held out for the right team for a good while now, we are super excited to be working alongside Tom and Liam at New World Artists on shows and touring this year," King said.
"With a wild year ahead, there’s seriously no group we’d rather have on our side right now than this one.”
To celebrate the release of Empire, Windwaker will embark on a headline east coast tour of Australia this May and June.
