Plini announces "A Very Short Tour"

Before retreating to his bedroom-studio to concoct another batch of prog-delights, PLINI will return to the stage in SYDNEY and MELBOURNE for two special headlining shows next February. After a run of sold-out concerts, supporting Cynic (USA) in Japan and TesseracT (UK) in Australia, and just home from a nation-wide tour with homegrown prog-metal legends Ne Obliviscaris, PLINI will treat audiences to an evening of progressive music performed with some of Australia’s finest young musicians — including drum-sensation TROY WRIGHT and Jake Howsam Lowe and Simon Grove of local tech-wizards THE HELIX NEBULA. Covering material from his EP trilogy and more, audiences will be taken on a musical journey that will stir happiness in the heart of any fan of guitar-playing, prog, metal, fusion or post-rock.

Joining the mini-tour on both nights, New Zealand-based quartet HEAVY METAL NINJAS will be bringing their epic flamboyance to Australia for the very first time. The costumed collective, led by virtuoso Richie Allen, puts on a spectacular live show that flows freely between the ferocious and the delicate and truly must be seen to be believed.

PLINI and HEAVY METAL NINJAS will be joined by the innovative fusion-trio THREE WISE MONKEYS in Sydney, and the explosive prog-metal band TERAMAZE in Melbourne. The last headlining shows PLINI played in these cities were packed to their legal limits — make sure you book in advance to catch some of the finest progressive music at your doorstep!
