Stepson Claim 2021 Triffid QLD Album Of The Year
Brissy hardcore five-piece Stepson have beat out some tough competition to claim this year’s Triffid Qld Album Of The Year honour with their newest LP, Help Me, Help You.
Revealed this evening at the beloved Queensland venue, this year’s winners will be immortalised on the coveted Triffid Hero Wall, joining the likes of The Go Betweens, Powderfinger, The Chats and many more.
Also nominated this year was Tia Gostelow, who was up for a second year with Chrysalis, AOTY alumni Cub Sport with their ARIA #1 release, Like Nirvana, twin pop juggernauts The Veronicas with Godzilla and Washington with Batflowers.
Venue co-owner John 'JC' Collins has previously noted: “It's such an integral part of The Triffid to celebrate Queensland's incredible music community and as a way to support emerging artists."
