THE BLSSM Signs With New World Artists
New World Artists, the independent Australian booking agency and concert promoter, welcomes THE BLSSM to its roster.
Moving forward, the critically-adored alt-pop/indie artist is represented by Edwin Tehrani and Liam Saunders for live bookings, The Music Network can exclusively reveal
“They understand both the daydreams and the big dreams that fuel the little universe I carve out. The thought of coming back home to play for an Australian crowd makes me feel so inspired.”
Raised in Sydney and Los Angeles, THE BLSSM has music in their DNA; their dad is Mark Lizotte, the veteran blues-rocker better known as Diesel.
Blending pop, rock, and hip-hop with a punk spirit, THE BLSSM has clocked up the road miles in recent years touring the U.S. with the likes of Remi Wolf, Role Model and Wolf Alice, performing at All Things Go Music Festival 2022, writing alongside Kevin Abstract and Matt Champion (BROCKHAMPTON) and recording at Rick Rubin’s Shangri-La studios.
Now, Australia is in their sights with a debut live performance confirmed as part of Sydney’s VIVID Festival, announced Monday (March 11).
“We are incredibly excited to welcome THE BLSSM to the New World Artists family,” comments New World Artists’ Tehrani. “From the moment we heard Lily’s music, we were completely hooked by her unique sound and undeniable talent.”
A signing to Rubin’s American Songs music publishing venture, THE BLSSM will drop “Puppy Breath” in May, and support the new release with a debut performance on Australian soil Thursday, May 30 at Sydney’s Tumbalong Park, with Forest Claudette.
Another recording project, “Baby Chaotic,” is tipped to arrive in August 2024.
In time, the team at New World Artists aim to take their show into Asia. “We couldn’t be more excited to elevate THE BLSSM to new heights and introduce her music to audiences all around Australia, New Zealand and Asia,” adds Tehrani.
Founded in 2006 and boasting offices in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, New World Artists’ family of artists includes Mallrat, Allday, JK-47, Anna Lunoe, Sneaky Sound System, RedHook, 1300, and Grinspoon.
