Mallrat Announces Better Tour (18+)

Fresh from debuting her new single www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJ0bNf5JK9E">‘Better,’ grabbing an add on triple j, racking up over 50,000 streams for the single in three days, and the catching attention of the www.nytimes.com/2017/10/13/arts/music/playlist-mavis-staples-beck-major-lazer.html">New York Times, the queen of nonchalant cool, Mallrat, is hitting the road to bring her sparkling new jam ‘Better’ to life. With deliciously sweet hooks and a characteristically anthemic chorus, ‘Better’  is sure to invoke some loud sing-alongs at Mallrat shows this summer.

‘Better’ premiered on triple j’s Good Nights with Linda in Australia and internationally on Stereogum, reinforcing the global appeal of the artist touted early as the “Hannah Montanna of the rap game” and who has since gone on to rack up over 12 million streams on Spotify alone since releasing her debut Uninvited EP in 2016.

With a huge following of fans from Melbourne to Mexico City, Mallrat’s refreshingly honest observations of day-to-day life, her relatably confessional lyrics, and her penchant for writing sticky melodies that you just can’t shake, have all shaped her into the kind of artist that’s perfectly positioned to be Australia’s next big name in pop music. The shower of acclaim from the likes of the aforementioned New York Times, as well as the likes of NME, Beats 1, Noisey, Pigeons and Planes, Perez Hilton, Rolling Stone, and Pilerats just to name a few, reinforces that even further.

Meanwhile, at home in Australia she’s forging a reputation as one of the most endearing live performers in the country, thanks to spots on festivals like Splendour In The Grass and Listen Out, and support slots with the likes of Allday, Peking Duk,and Maggie Rogers.

She’s set to make more great live appearances this summer with the ‘Better’ Tour hitting Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, with support from Kinder.

‘Better’ is taken from her forthcoming sophomore EP, which is set for release in early 2018.
